OSHA 2003
Introduction to Industrial and Occupational Safety and Health (F, S)
Provides an overview of the career field of safety and health.
Safety and health legal issues facing industry in dealing with
federal regulations will be covered and what companies must do to
comply will be addressed. This course is designed to teach the
proper methods and techniques of organizing a plant safety program,
to include inspection and control procedures, human factors
engineering, human behavior and safety training techniques.
OSHA 2203 OSHA -
Department of Labor Voluntary Compliance (F, S)
Introduction to fundamentals of safety in the workplace. This is an
OSHA instructor certification course dealing with the role of the
safety professional, social, legislative and regulatory requirements
as well as the concepts of hazard recognition, evaluation and
control.
OSHA 2403
Ergonomics (S)
This course is designed and developed to address key components of
an ergonomic program identified by OSHA (Occupational Safety and
Health Administration). Elements of the program include information
regarding the risk factors, signs, and symptoms of work-related
musculoskeletal signs, and symptoms of work-related musculoskeletal
disorders (MSD's). A multi-disciplinary course dealing with the
interactions between man and his working environment. Topics
include: ergonomic work-site analysis, OSHA ergonomic audits,
ergonomic hazard prevention and control.
OSHA 2533 Safety
and Health Risk Management (S)
Hazards in the workplace and their relationship to loss of property
and/or life. An introduction to the concepts, principles, and
methods of risk analysis, as used in a systematic approach to risk
and assessment for workers in business and industry in the public
sector. Performance measurement standards will be stressed such as
safety effectiveness measurement scales, inter-modular measures,
organic measures and future performance measures. The auxiliary
functions of a safety department will be examined and explained.
