Diffusion and Osmosis: Due 3-09-2006

For these labs, you will need to use one Word document with your name in the file name as well as listed on each page of the document. Add each lab for Diffusion and Osmosis as you complete it and email the completed file to your instructor via Web CT. Results from any online quizzes need to be copied and pasted into the Word document. You will also need to print and save all of your documents, including what you send to your instructor, from each lab for inclusion in your lab notebook.

Cells and Membranes

Print the first page. You may skip the section on histology, but you must visit the Cells Alive web site, as indicated, and answer the questions here. You are also to answer the four assessment questions. You must also complete the lab on diffusion and record your data, as directed. Also, answer the question about the fish. Print all of your work for your lab notebook. Include the answers to the questions and the data recorded in your lab in the Word document you will email to your instructor.

Osmosis

Complete the osmosis lab. Record your work carefully, answering each of the questions. Paste your work into your Word document. Do not forget to print your work for your lab notebook. For extra credit: Submit digital pictures of your lab work and submit them with your lab.

Biological Membranes

Complete the lab according to the directions (online). After you have completed and submitted the quiz at the end, print the results page for your lab notebook and copy the results into your Word document for your instructor.

Diffusion Lab

You may complete this lab exercise (including the exercise, clearly marked, in your lab notebook as well as in your Word document to email to your instructor) for extra credit.
