I'm originally from western Tennessee (Dyersburg, to be exact), but I moved with my family many times as I was growing up. We lived in Ohio, both Columbus and Cleveland, as well as New England--New Britain and New Fairfield, CT, where I graduated high school.
After graduation I decided to go to Arkansas Tech University, not only to be closer to my dad's family, but also to get a creative writing degree. After graduating in 1980, I entered the creative writing program at the University of Arkansas and graduated from that school in 1984.
I'm married and have two daughters, and we live east of Rogers in the Lookout community. In the summers I am a tour guide at War Eagle Cavern, which is about a mile from my house. I also enjoy building and playing banjos. Please click on the links at the left to see some of these interests as well as some of my poetry, both traditional and online.
